Following the film, Maria Swearingen, Senior Co-Pastor of Calvary, will moderate a short Q&A time with Angy Rivera (featured in the film) and Silvana Arista, the attorney & project coordinator at CLINIC Legal. The panel will explore the intersection of immigration reform, survivor advocacy, and how people of faith are getting involved.
This film and discussion could not be more relevant for our times: DACA is under fire, the Violence Against Women Act is facing reauthorization, and hundreds of churches are signing up all over the country to join the Sanctuary movement.
